In my 20 + years of clinical experience, I have discovered ht people are seeking ways to feel more whole within themselves and more intimate with their partners. Mindful relating is a lifestyle approach that will help you navigate the beautiful moments and pain points of your life- and the many “stuck” experiences in between A modern take on East meets West Mindful relating integrates mindfulness meditation techniques with traditional marriage and family therapy practices. I offer strategies that teach you how to show up in your life with greater presence, ease and connection in your relationships.

What is Mindful Relating?

All of us have the need to be seen, heard, valued and respected. Mindful relating is about cultivating awareness, compassion and skillful responsiveness in our most important relationships- with ourselves and loved ones.

Mindful relating offers an opportunity to begin again. Patients who seek my support often express feeling “lost” or that they just “don’t feel like themselves.” Couples sense they have drifted apart or find themselves stuck in stale patterns and routines due to the focus on kids, work, etc. Patients learn how to be more present and attuned from the inside out and to lean into each other- to find themselves again or anew.

Mindful relating is a modern approach that integrates traditional therapy with skill-building in mindfulness meditation practices. We use a 4-step process of mindfulness that supports patients in meeting life with presence, ease and skilled responsiveness.

In my private practice, I typically meet weekly for individual and couples therapy. Once we have a clear trajectory of goals and a path to achieve those objectives, we may decrease the frequency of sessions.

Whichever you prefer. My private practice is located in Lakeview (3166 N. Lincoln Avenue, Suite 202 Chicago, IL 60657). Many patients prefer the convenience of Zoom, and if this is your preference, I offer HIPAA-compliant Zoom telehealth therapy.

I do not accept insurance. However, many of my patients submit invoices to their insurance carrier and may receive out-of-network benefit reimbursement. If you want to pursue this route, I always suggest that you contact your insurance provider to inquire about out-of-network benefits before treatment begins.
